What's Opening at Naples Beach Club This Fall in Coquina Sands?

Walk south from Lowdermilk Park toward Doctor's Pass and you pass construction fencing at the Naples Beach Club. Some of the fencing came down last November. What stayed the same, long after the doors opened, was a particular kind of sign: the one that says an amenity is "coming in 2026" without saying when.

That sign has been standing at the edge of the Naples Beach Club, A Four Seasons Resort, since the property opened to the public on November 17, 2025. Some amenities now have a month attached, while others do not. Here's how the resort's amenities are currently scheduled as you plan a fall evening.

What Opened Last November and Never Changed

The 1,000 feet of Gulf shoreline that had been fenced off for construction reopened to public beach access the same day the resort welcomed its first guests. So did the two restaurants everyone in Coquina Sands actually remembers from before the redevelopment. HB's, long the only true beachfront restaurant in Old Naples, came back with a reimagined dining room and the same panoramic Gulf views. Sunset Bar returned too, reworked with neon accents and a lighter menu but still doing what it always did: giving people a reason to be there right as the light drops.

The Merchant Room, the resort's flagship restaurant led by two-time James Beard Award winner Gavin Kaysen, opened alongside them, and Naples Trading Company started serving coffee and grab-and-go picnic supplies out of Market Square not long after. None of that required a wait. If you've walked past the site anytime since the winter season, you've likely already used one of these.

The Two Promises That Just Got Calendars

For most of the last ten months, the remaining Market Square amenities were listed as "coming in 2026." The Wager, the sports gastropub with the four-lane bowling alley and putting green, was one of them. The Picture House, a 22-seat screening room built for first-run movies, was another.

The resort's current amenities page gives both opening windows for the first time: The Wager is set to open in October 2026, and The Picture House is slated for this fall.

For a neighborhood that already has its own beach at Lowdermilk Park, what's changing isn't beach access. It's the short list of things to do after the beach closes. A sports pub with bowling lanes and a small cinema showing first-run films are the kind of low-key evening options Coquina Sands hasn't really had within walking distance, and this fall is when they're supposed to show up.

The Gardens: Opening Listed for 2026

The golf course is a different story. The Gardens, an 18-hole course designed by Tom Fazio in partnership with Discovery Land Company, has been described in every version of the resort's messaging, from the original November 2025 press materials through the current amenities page, the same way: opening in 2026, no month attached. It's the one piece of the original launch promise that hasn't graduated to a real date.

A guest who stayed in the resort's Garden-View rooms this past spring reported that those rooms, which face the golf course rather than the Gulf, still looked out on active construction as of April 2026. The course is billed as Old Naples' first on-site golf offering, which is a meaningful first for the area.

Access to The Gardens

The course sits inside a residential development curated by Discovery Land Company, the same firm behind a portfolio of private member communities, and it's paired with 95 golf-side residences still under construction. Naples Illustrated reported in December 2025 that those golf-side units are targeted for completion by 2028, meaning the course is expected to open years before the homes built around it are finished.

The residential side of the property also gets its own separate amenity, the Residents' Beach Club, distinct from the public resort's beach and pool access. No tee times for outside play have been announced, so access for non-residents remains unclear.

Planning for Fall 2026

If you live in Coquina Sands and you're deciding what to plan around this fall, the current schedule looks like this. HB's and Sunset Bar have been open and worth the walk since last November. The Merchant Room and Naples Trading Company have been part of the rotation almost as long. The Wager, if it holds its October 2026 date, is the first genuinely new evening option the resort has added since opening, and The Picture House isn't far behind it. The golf course is the one piece still worth treating as a maybe rather than a plan, and even once it's finished, it may not be something a non-resident can book anyway.

None of this changes what Coquina Sands already offers on its own, which is a beach at Lowdermilk that's been there since long before any of this construction started. What's changed is that some of the options within a five-minute walk now have opening windows for this fall.
